My favourite Quotes: Brida

There is a strange kind of pleasure in reading. It could be a magazine, a newspaper or a romantic novel… whenever I pick a piece crafted of words magically woven into sentences to bring out meaning, I change a little. I am teleported to a crime scene, a castle in Winterfell or on Bakers Street within a few seconds. What sorcery or science is this? How something so simple as words hold so much power, so much magic? A thought to ponder for an eternity!

Today I am here to share a few words with you about a book which touched my soul. It is Brida by Paulo Coelho. Whenever I go through this book, it appears different to me. Each time I have come to it, it has sent me back with new insights, more in touch with myself and my world.

I am sharing a few of my favorite quotes from the book with you, in hope that you may find hope in them, just as I do.

“Everything in the Universe has life, and you must always try to stay in contact with that life. It understands your language. And the world will begin to take on a different meaning for you.”

“God is the word. Always be very careful what you say in any situation and at any moment.”

People give flowers as presents because flowers contain the true meaning of Love. Anyone who tries to possess a flower will have to watch its beauty fading. But if you simply look at a flower in a field, you will keep it forever, because the flower is part of the evening and the sunset and the smell of damp earth and the clouds on the horizon.

“What is outside is harder to change than what is inside.”

That is what the forest taught me. That you will never be mine, and that is why I will never lose you. You were my hope during my days of loneliness, my anxiety during moments of doubt, my certainty during moments of faith.

“The more you understand yourself, the more you will understand the world.”

“Magical places are always beautiful and deserve to be contemplated. Waterfalls, mountains, and forests are all places where the spirits of Earth tend to play and laugh and speak to us. You are in a sacred place, and it is showing you the birds and the wind. Thank God for this, for the birds, the wind, and for the spirits who inhabit this wood.”

These are all! I hope you liked them. Do let me know the ones you like best in the comments below. Or did I miss a gem of a quote from the book? Please feel free to share with me. And if you feel rather inspired, go grab the book and read it for yourself!

Farewell for now! Happy Reading!
